Yllw Factory helped the City of Malmö create a sustainable office where existing furniture was refurbished, repainted, and reupholstered. Through reuse, costs were reduced by more than 60 percent while environmental impact was significantly decreased.

A complete solution focused on reuse
In close collaboration with the City of Malmö, colors and textiles were selected to harmonize with the updated interior concept. Many of the existing pieces of furniture were refurbished, repainted, and reupholstered in new fabrics to create a cohesive and contemporary expression. In this way, much of what was already on site could be given new life instead of being replaced.
A sustainable result with measurable impact
The project resulted in a functional and visually appealing environment that reflects the City of Malmö’s identity while conserving resources. By choosing reuse over new production, the municipality reduced its costs by more than 60 percent while significantly lowering the project’s environmental footprint.
